Xbox Game Pass Ultimate says take a break from video games with some free anime

There are just too many video games on Xbox Game Pass, so it’s nice that the newer Ultimate perk lets you take a break with some anime.
As announced in the Xbox Cable BlogRight now, one of the benefits offered as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber is 75 days of Crunchyroll Mega Fan, completely free to mark “Anime Month.” For those unfamiliar with the streaming service, Crunchyroll is all about anime and offers a huge number of titles to peruse (more than 1,300, in fact), with the Mega Fan subscription letting you watch them all ad-free. On top of that, it gives you access to simulcast releases of anime currently airing on the same day they premiere in Japan. Put aside video games, there is a new medium in which you can spend too much time playing.
It’s pretty easy to unlock, as long as you’re a subscriber. Just head over to the Game Pass page on your Xbox or the Game Pass app on PC and head over to the benefits section. There you will find the free subscription to Crunchyroll, although you should keep in mind that if you have already redeemed this benefit in previous promotions, you will not be able to do it again.
There’s a lot of good stuff in there, like the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen currently airing, if you’re looking for something to give you pain anyway. At the opposite extreme is the unfathomably cheerful Skip and Loafer, an anime that made me smile so hard I had to see a doctor to get my face back to normal. Oh, and One Piece is there too I guess.
You still have a bit of time to redeem the offer, as it will be valid until October 20, so it mainly depends on when you want to spend all your time watching anime, instead of spending all your time in games.
