What’s the best game with the worst gimmick? The Best Games Ever Show episode 59

[ad_1]

Welcome to episode 59 of The Best Games Ever Show: The Best Game With The Worst Cheat.

There are plenty of bad trick dice games out there. Tony Hawk: RIDEFor example, which was built around a terrible skateboard-shaped controller peripheral and was basically a terrible game as a result. Or Crime Boss: Rockay City, which is a painfully lower level heist game that boasts “Vanilla Ice is in on this” as its full USP. Then, of course, there’s the Kinect library. The entire Kinect library.

But still, see, just because something has a bad trick, doesn’t mean it’s not great. Wade Barrett was saddled with the Bad News Barrett gimmick for years, but he was talented enough to make it work somehow. Alfred Hitchcock had the rubbish trick of always making a cameo in his movies, depriving legitimate actors of vital cameos.

But what about video games? What are the great video games that are loaded with rubbish gimmicks, and of them, which one is the best? To find out what our esteemed panel thinks, you’ll have to watch or listen here. Right here!
