Virtuous Montreal video ignites hype around a new Metal Gear Solid project

[ad_1]

virtuous montreala Canada-based development studio recently uploaded a video to his official YouTube channel which has some fans sure they are working on a solid metal gear Project. This is due to certain clues left in said video, as well as previous reports claiming a partnership between them and Konami.

The first big clue comes in around the 72-second mark of the video, where fans spotted a lamp propped up on concept artist Louis-Alex Boismenu’s desk. It is not the central frame, but it is clearly visible and a peculiar book to leave present for an official video.

But hey, on its own, who cares!? Why wouldn’t an artist have a copy of The Art of Metal Gear Solid on his desk? Apparently it’s a good book, and as an artist it’s not out of the question that Boismenu would own it. However, this becomes a bit more suspicious when we look at VGC reports from 2021 about Konami reviving several of their IPs.

This article, which features claims made by anonymous sources, who discussed how the Japanese company was looking to reinvigorate several of its popular series, including Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and Castlevania. They were told firsthand that Virtuos was handling the project, and that it would be a game centered around the fan-favorite Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

That same article, as well as earlier reports from VGC, stated that several Silent Hill games were in development. That has proven to be true, as we saw during the recent announcement stream that revealed a new version of Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill Townfall, as well as Silent Hill: Ascension.

These two main pieces of the puzzle seem like enough to convince some that the rumors are true, and jumping in here with a bit of personal opinion, it seems too obvious to be just a mistake. If it was a book on some guy’s desk in a studio shot, then that’s one thing. But intentionally laying the book flat, plus previous reports, leaves it pretty much confirmed.

But what do you think? If Virtuos made a new Metal Gear, would you be interested in playing it? Or is it just not the same without Kojima? Let us know below!
