Uh Oh. New Payday 3 gameplay has leaked online

Some new Payday 3 games have been uploaded online ahead of time, totally seamless for our viewing pleasure.

Uploaded early by a content creator in Vietnam (who seems to have dropped his mask a bit earlier), it was taken offline by the early riser a few hours later. However, keen eyes on the internet caught on to the mistake and have since re-uploaded the images. We can’t link to the leak directly, but a minute or so of searching on Reddit It will take the curious where they want to go.

We’ve seen gameplay before for Payday 3, straight from the developers, but this is the first time we’ve seen average gamers give the game a try. What we see is a game that seems very similar to Payday 2, with visual, UI, and many other updates and improvements. That’s not a bad thing, of course: Payday bosses have good reason to be excited.

We also get to see a bit of those new hostage features being played out. This is one of the newer features coming with Payday 3, and it complicates the scenarios where you can get yourself in the middle of a robbery a bit.

Other highlights of the game leak are the music. Payday has always been jam-packed with hits, and the action track playing throughout the game’s leak is another clever song that fits well with Payday’s tone. That, plus the tense final moments of the mission where the team has to frantically try to escape with the stolen money, all while packing up special weapons looks pretty exuberant!

With this video leaked online, more videos from content creators actually following the embargoes put in place as part of the preview session they participated in are likely to surface soon. Payday 3 is set to release this year on September 21st, so you won’t have to wait long before you can jump in and try the game out for yourself.
