He ID@Xbox Demo Festival returns starting July 11, during which you can try over 40 game demos on Xbox.
The demos will only be on the Xbox Dashboard for a week, but there is a chance that some will be reposted to the Demo channel at a later time. Many, however, will be gone by the end of the week, so don’t forget to try any that interest you.
It’s worth keeping in mind that these demos are not typical. Rather than being created after the game is nearly finished, demos may not represent the final version as they are still in development, some in early development.
The full list of demos will be released on July 11, but here’s a taste of what you can expect.
One is demon school from Necrosoft Games and Ysbryd Games. This RPG features tactical elements with a horror atmosphere. In it, you try to survive college life as the ultimate demon slayer, Faye. You’ll experience unique battles, build relationships with friends, complete side quests, and fight giant bosses, all while trying to unravel the island’s demonic mystery.
If you haven’t tried the demo yet lies of p from Neowiz, you really need it. While it’s part of the demo fest, you can actually play it right now.
sea of stars is another demo that you can play. Developed by Sabotage Studio, the classic RPG features turn-based combat, heavy storytelling, and plenty of exploration and interactions with the environment. Inspired by the classics, the game tells the story of two Sons of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and the moon to create Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of defending themselves against the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. While the demo features areas that will be part of the final game, it does feature a portion that won’t yet reveal any major spoilers from the main story, and aims to provide a sense of tone and vibe without giving away any major points.
Another demo that you can try is the one from Stray Fawn Studios the wandering people. This is one that we personally recommend after trying it out during one of the Steam Next Fests. It’s a city-building simulator that takes place on the back of a giant, roaming creature. Here, you’ll build your settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with the colossus as you try to survive in a beautiful post-apocalyptic world polluted by poisonous plants.
no world is a 2D adventure platform game developed by Noname and Coatsink. In it, you will walk the line between the physical and astral planes within a formless world on a journey of self-growth and understanding. The demo shows some of the variety of enemies, bosses and abilities that you can unlock and various areas to explore with selected sound effects.
The ID@Xbox Demo Fest begins on July 11 and ends on July 19.
