Tears of the Kingdom players have started crucifying Koroks
[ad_1]
In the latest example of people being mean to the Koroks, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has begun crucifying the poor creatures of the forest.
Look, I know not everyone is a fan of Koroks in Breath of the Wild – they’re crafty little blighters who literally give you a piece of doodoo when you manage to catch one. And there are like 900 of them! I understand. But you all keep harassing them in increasingly violent ways, and you don’t bring up the fact that I keep laughing at you. And now look what you’ve done. You are crucifying them!
Yes, you read that right, what is currently in fashion in Hyrule is to crucify Koroks. “How did this start?” you could ask me, and honestly, I have no idea. Religion obviously exists in the world of Hyrule, but I’m pretty sure I haven’t found any books that mention a certain man who was nailed to the cross. Still, players can’t seem to stop crucifying Koroks, the obvious follow-up to attaching them to mining wagons and shooting them into the sky with rockets.
In fact, some players, like IsaacPR95, are combining rockets with crucifixion to send a Korok into the skies (it’s also a really cool trick shot that rightfully grants you a Korok seed).

Some, like YouTuber and streamer SuperButterBuns, wonder if the developers saw the crucifixion fix coming.
Do you think TOTK developers foresaw gamers crucifying koroks or were QA testers not as bloodthirsty as your average Nintendo gamer? pic.twitter.com/BuJp2jeBQP

This is just an incredibly well-timed shot, if a bit alarming.

Others are carrying Koroks while crucified, as if the whole situation isn’t demeaning enough.

Some have even dedicated themselves to making fanart to commemorate the poor Koroks.
However, not all Tears of the Kingdom players are stalkers: some are putting their skills to good use by making some pretty fun creations. And then others are just making Link do absolutely obscene things that are definitely not funny (but definitely NSFW).
