Sports Story headlines Nintendo Indie World offering
[ad_1]
Nintendo shared his most recent independent world showcase just yesterday (November 9), and with it came an incredibly diverse list of both interesting and lovable games. All of which will arrive on the Nintendo Switch console during 2022 and 2023.
Frankly, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to upcoming indies to choose from. There are roguelikes, adventures, puzzles, narrative games, and lots of different art to see. So, without further ado, here are all the games shown at Nintendo Indie World.
Sports Story – Coming in December
Arguably the star of the show had to be sports history, which is a sports RPG that follows on from the 2017 title, Golf Story. Now, you can carry on as before and focus on being a golf pro, or you can try your hand at football, tennis, cricket, BMX and much more. Plus, Sports Story isn’t just about your athletic ability; You’ll also explore ruins and dungeons, head to the mall, and take part in mini-games while meeting a wide range of characters.

A little to the left – Arriving today
a little to the left seems to be another game for cat owners, or for people like me who long to have a cat but can’t take real responsibility for a living being. In the game, you’ll solve short, satisfying puzzles in your home, putting things in order while life (and your mischievous cat) gets in the way.
Blanc – Arrival February
A cooperative adventure that tells the emotional story of an unlikely friendship. In this black and white game white sees a wolf cub and a fawn team up to help each other find their way back home, and each cute character has their own unique strengths that will help them.
Blanc is also completely text-free and can be played cooperatively both online and locally, making it even easier to learn.
Rogue Legacy 2 – Arrives Today
rogue legacy 2, the sequel to 2013’s Rogue Legacy, came to PC in 2020. Now, the roguelite platformer is coming to Nintendo Switch starting today, along with the Fabled Heroes update. With this, there are a dozen classes for you to try out in the vibrant 2D platformer as you try to maximize your runs, gather your riches, and repeat.

GOODBYE WORLD – Coming this month
GOODBYE WORLD follows two friends and game developers as they try to conjure up their next idea. As she explores the retro-inspired platformer and solves puzzles, she’ll learn about the daily struggles of these two characters as they try to not only create their game, but also make ends meet. Will their friendship survive?
Aka – Coming in December
Although I’m clearly very excited about Sports Story, alias maybe it has to be the next game on my Nintendo Indie World list. Playing as a retired warrior and red panda, Aka, this little game is all about finding inner peace. Sailing around the paradise island, Aka has this jovial world at his fingertips; he can nurture flora, create a shelter, explore mountains, feed baby dragons, and more.
In addition, you will also meet the ghosts of Aka’s past during her journey.
Dordogne – Arrival 2023
Dordogne centers on Mimi, a girl who spent much of her childhood in Dordogne, France. In the game, Mimi returns to her late grandmother’s house and through a series of letters, secrets and more, Mimi discovers that there is much worth discovering.
Players can jump between the past and the present, exploring Mimi’s current memories and experiences and ultimately discovering more about her relationship with her grandmother.

ONI: The Path to the Most Powerful Oni – Coming in March
ONI: The path to be the most powerful Oni it’s heavily inspired by Japanese folklore, and it shows. Throughout the 3D action game, you play as Kuuta, an impossibly cute demon warrior looking to defeat even older demons.
Kuuta also joins forces with Kazemaru, who you can simultaneously control with a single Joy-Con controller. ONI doesn’t seem like my thing necessarily, but his colorful nature and the fact that Kuuta looks like an angry, horned Wooper won me over.

Venba – Arrival 2023
Come on is set in the 1980s and sees you helping an Indian mother who recently immigrated to Canada. Throughout the wholesome narrative journey, you’ll help this mother reconnect with her heritage by helping her cook some delicious South Indian dishes.
It appears to be a moving story of love, loss, and memories as you help this person reconnect with their past and help restore old family recipes.
A space for the untethered: arrival in January
A space for the untethered It’s a real life adventure game with a gorgeous pixel art style, so I’m already obsessed with it.
Set in rural Indonesia in the 1990s, this game has you unravel the story of a boy and a girl, and their relationship. The girl also has supernatural powers, which finally puts a wrench in the works and forces these two characters to uncover secrets and face the end of the world.

Have a good death – Coming in March
Step into the shoes of Death himself in this completely hand-drawn 2D roguelike. In have a good deathYou will explore the procedurally generated departments of Death Incorporated while using weapons, spells, and curses as you try to round up their rogue employees who are stealing souls from Earth.
You may be thinking that there are many games. Well, there is still more. Pepper mill is an action-adventure title where you use your Grinder to take on the role of a spicy treasure hunter. So there is also once upon a time there was a jesterwhich looks like a pretty wacky fantasy adventure that follows two friends who are up to no good.
we will also be watching encryption, the perfect combination of roguelikes, decks and psychological horror, is coming to Nintendo Switch in December. Joining will also be Wobbledogs Console Edition in November, which is some sort of pet simulation title that seems strange, albeit satisfying. On top of that, there’s Desta: The Memories Between making its console debut, which is a character-driven roguelike with…a metaphorical ballgame involved. Interesting.
In May, wrestling It’s also coming to handheld, allowing gamers to live out the dream of professional wrestling. And for those who wish to revive a story that doesn’t involve professional wrestling, there is Storyteller arriving in March. This puzzle has players telling their own stories, from Shakespearean tragedies to supernatural fantasies.
Looking ahead to the summer of 2023 now, HORROR WORLD It’s coming to Switch. This is a 1-bit roguelite RPG that, as the name suggests, is full of horror and inspired by Japanese folklore. Now finally, perhaps one of the most epic games coming to Nintendo is Curse of the Sea Rats. This hand-drawn adventure follows a group of rambunctious rats and is what could be called a ‘ratoidvania’.
That’s (finally) it for Nintendo Indie World. Which games caught your attention and which ones excite you the most? For me Sports Story, Aka, GOODBYE WORLD and Blanc are must buys.
