Slenderman is coming back, new countdown and teaser suggests
[ad_1]
A decade has passed since the launch of Slender, the arrival, which means it’s been so long since we’ve come face to face with the terrifying Slenderman and his featureless visage. That being said, a new teaser and countdown from the developer, Blue Isle Studios, points towards the return of the humanoid in the near future.
Slenderman first rose to fame after being conjured up in a creepypasta; a sort of internet-based urban legend. The appearance of him is so unusual; a thin, faceless man in a black suit with extraordinarily long limbs, and the other stories that surfaced on the internet about him gave this character a huge cult following.
Slender: The Eight Pages arrived in 2012, with Slender: The Arrival coming out shortly after in 2013. The creepy guy even got his own feature film in 2018, and spoiler alert, it’s terrible. Now, in 2023, Slenderman seems to be making a big comeback to the world of video games.
You’re not alone, either, given the number of returns and remakes of cult classics horror fans have already seen in 2023; Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, The Outlast Trials, System Shock and Amnesia: The Bunker. Let’s not forget that Alone in the Dark is yet to come, and Silent Hill 2 could still release this year as well. We have had many options to choose from.
tweeted from the Slender: The Tale of Arrival, a short trailer was shared accompanied by the caption “He is waiting…”. This sneak peek is only a few seconds long, showing a single edgy frame from the second half of Slender: The Arrival before fading into static. So, there is no doubt that we are talking about Slenderman.
Shortly after, Blue Isle Studios shared a countdown on the Slender: The Arrival website, which will come to an end on July 28. Whatever Blue Isle is currently cooking up is coming soon. Now this could be a remake, remaster, or sequel to the 2013 game, but Blue Isle has yet to share any details. All I know, at this point, is that Slenderman will be back to scare the streamers for nothing for my entertainment.
Prepare your torch and sanity for 28 of Julywhen we finally hear more about what Blue Isle Studios has planned for the future of Slenderman.
