Silent Hill reveal livestream: Watch it here to see the future of Konami’s classic IP
[ad_1]
the Silent Hill Reveal Live Stream It’s almost here! Announced just a few days ago, Konami has put on a giant and much-hyped event to show off the latest details on the next entry in the Silent Hill franchise, which has sadly been absent from the modern gaming space. You can watch it right here, via Konami’s Twitch channel, embedded below. Or later Youtube.
The broadcast is scheduled for 2pm PDT / 10pm BST / 5pm ET / 4pm CT today (Oct 19)at which point the entire Silent Hill community (a mix of really older people who have actually played the good guys and younger people who just pretend they have to look cool with their gamer friends) will tune in.
Silent Hill is one of those video game franchises with a lot of weight behind it. First released with the astonishing Silent Hill in 1999, the game didn’t reach its peak until the legendary Silent Hill 2 was released just two years later in 2001. This was a pioneer in the world of horror video games. , with a narrative that remains in the minds of many with no parallel to the rest of the series, and much of the broader genre ever since.
We don’t know what exactly to expect from the live stream, except for some sort of reveal. One of our writers, Kelsey, made the point that perhaps we should temper our expectations for the next step in the Silent Hill journey. A fair suggestion, especially when you consider that the last few games in the series have been canned entirely or of average quality.
It’s also a series that has been a source of speculation and conjecture, with numerous people releasing their own predictions following alleged leaks of titles in development, including one apparently from a Blooper Team project. Whether or not these turn out to be legit will surely be revealed in the coming hours, adding to the excitement surrounding the stream.
Overall, we hope you’ll join us in watching the live stream as it happens! If you’re looking for more Silent Hill material to read while you wait, we’ve got an article on a hero who put PT on a PS5 recently.
