Sherlock Holmes The Awakened gets its first gameplay trailer and it’s kinda creepy

Frogwares has released the first gameplay trailer for Sherlock Holmes The Awakenedand it’s kind of creepy.

The horror adventure Sherlock Meets Cthulhu sees a young Sherlock and John Watson take on a chilling case that will forever “unite and mark the duo.”

What seems like a simple missing person case quickly turns into a web of conspiracy by a cult that worships Cthulhu and is trying to fulfill an ancient prophecy.

In the trailer, you will see how the game unfolds in various countries and continents. There are also glimpses of some of the tools and tricks Sherlock has in his arsenal to get to the truth.

You’ll have to piece together key moments of a crime using your imagination, interrogate suspects to get the information you need, and connect the clues to create possible theories to follow. You’ll also solve sanity-challenging puzzles and sequences that slowly bring your mood to ever greater ruin as you get closer to a truth a human being should never have to understand.

There will even be times when Sherlock is so far gone that you’ll take on the role of Watson to try and rescue your friend from the brink.

Originally released in 2006, The Awakened is a complete remake and substantial rewrite that is being rebuilt and redesigned from the ground up to run on Unreal Engine 4.

It’s coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch and is scheduled for a February/March 2023 release window.
