Red Dead Online Stadiums players will be able to transfer things like experience and gold, but there is a catch.

After Google announced it was shutting down Stadia, Red Dead Online player ItsColourTV requested a one-time transfer for your 6000 hour save file. It’s understandable that you wish you could continue that large amount of time you’ve spent in the game and not have to start over. Now, in a message he received from Rockstar Games, it has been confirmed that he and other players will be able to transfer their profile to PC, Xbox One or PS4.

“We are pleased to confirm that all active Stadia players who played Red Dead Online within 30 days of Stadia announcing its closure will be able to transfer any earned RDO$, Gold Bullion, XP, Role XP and Role Tokens to another existing account.” on PC, Xbox One or PlayStation 4″, read the message. “Players will only need to have the destination game account linked to their Rockstar Social Club account.”

Did you catch the catch? If you are one of those players looking to transfer their data to another account, you must have played the game within the specified time period listed. It’s an odd warning for a useful move, as there are all sorts of reasons players might not have been able to play the game in that month-long window.

Since the announcement that Stadia will go on sale in January of next year, several developers announced that they would help players with certain games. Ubisoft confirmed that Stadia users will be able to transfer their games to PC via Ubisoft Connect, and Bungie and IO Interactive are working to help Destiny 2 and Hitman players with their games.
