Gimmighoul is the latest Pokemon revealed for Pokémon Scarlet and Violetand even has a pokemon go Connection.
You may have already seen the little creature wandering around Pokémon Go, but Gimmighoul has been officially revealed, though it doesn’t seem like the most straightforward pocket monster out there. Those who have been watching chest.pokemon.com You will have seen a chest full of coins, which is apparently a form of Gimmighoul. Whereas the one that walks and gives you coins in Pokémon Go is a different form that walks out of the chest.
These two forms were discussed by the characters Jacq from Scarlet and Violet, and Professor Willow from Pokemon Go, where the former dubbed the Chest Form…well, Chest Form, and the latter chose the Roaming Form for the version of Gimmighoul that can walk. Interestingly, in the Paldea region it seems that it is only possible to catch Gimmighoul when he is in his chest form, as the roaming form will run away from you. But in Pokémon Go, the roaming form happily walks towards you.
The reveal trailer also told a cute fairy tale about a girl collecting 999 coins for Gimmighoul, so maybe that has something to do with how you’ll get it in Go, since you can collect coins at gold stops right now. .
Chest Form Gimmighoul is a ghost-type, but the script has yet to be revealed for Roaming Form, so we’ll probably have to wait until it’s actually catchable in the mobile game.
It’s also been revealed that you’ll be able to link your copy of Scarlet or Violet with Pokemon Go, though it’s noted that you won’t be able to trade directly. What this tie-in entails is unclear, but the feature is planned for sometime in 2023.
