Nintendo sets an Indie World showcase for later this week

It’s time to get out your Switch, as Nintendo has announced an Indie World presentation for this week.
The Indie World showcase kicks off at 5:00pm UK time on November 9th and promises “approximately 25 minutes of information on the next indie games coming to Nintendo Switch”. Of course, as always, there were no details on what kind of games we can expect from the reveal, and no, there definitely won’t be any Smash Bros. reveals, obviously.
The most recent Indie World was in May, the big reveal was Another Crab’s Treasure from developer Aggro Crab, with a few other standouts like Ooblets and Cult of the Lamb also shown, and a few other fun titles like We Are OFK, and adventure game noir. -punk Gunbrella from Doinksoft and Devolver Digital
If you’re someone looking forward to seeing Hollow Knight: Silksong, it’s always possible, but keep in mind that it’s a pretty big name right now, even if it’s indie, having appeared on Xbox and Bethesda’s Games Showcase in June. so there’s a good chance it will appear in a full-size Direct.
Outside of that, who knows! Indie World is always full of surprises, so expect the unexpected and maybe make some time for the little ones if you can.
No word on a full Direct at the moment, but the previous one had a lot to brag about (most of them are farming sims, but I digress). Pikmin 4 was officially revealed for one, which was a nice surprise. Fire Emblem Engage was also announced, bringing back classic characters like Marth.
Nintendo also recently showed off the first trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movie, which is certainly something that exists, and definitely features the voice of Chris Pratt, which is surely “unlike anything you’ve ever heard.”
Tune in on September 11 at 5pm UK time for a new Indie World Showcase with approximately 25 minutes of information on the upcoming indie games coming to Nintendo Switch!
