Naraka: Bladepoint will soon be free, on PS5, and offer Xbox Game Pass benefits

Revealed overnight last night Naraka Fest Live StreamNaraka: Bladepoint is finally coming to PlayStation 5 on July 13 after it was previously only available on Xbox and PC. Simultaneously, Battle Royale will also become a free game on all platforms once it launches on the PS5.

This news comes along with the celebrations of the fact that Naraka: Bladepoint has managed to reach a phenomenal milestone of 20 million players since its release. That’s the whole feat!

If you are one of those who paid for the game, you will see some sort of refund. All players who have purchased the game since its release in 2021 will be rewarded with an amount of in-game gold; the amount depends on the edition of the game they have. In addition to this, those who play via Xbox Game Pass will automatically be upgraded to the Ultimate Edition of Naraka: Bladepoint. It all makes a bit more sense now as to why the developer, 24 Entertainment, was “not at all” worried about losing sales when Naraka: Bladepoint came to Game Pass.

In addition to making Naraka: Bladepoint available and accessible to more players, there will also be some new additions to the game. A new mode will be added called Capture the Spirit Well which is a 12v12 PvP mode that plays out similar to most Capture the Flag game modes. The new hero Tessa, who is said to be an ancient fox-demon capable of enchanting enemies and capturing their souls, will also join the roster of characters.

There’s also a new Dual Halberd weapon, plenty of PlayStation 5 exclusive items, and veteran rewards on the way. And of course, players can look forward to plenty of in-game events and rewards to celebrate the second anniversary of Naraka: Bladepoint.
