Mike Tyson is stepping into the ring today for a… Tekken 8 panel?

Mike Tyson, legendary boxer and lead star on an overlooked but hilarious cartoon show, steps into the ring today. For a fight? Yes, of some kind. He will appear alongside other fighters and Bandai Namco staff for a Tekken 8 panel.

Today at Comic-Con, Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada and Tekken producer Michael Murray will be in attendance along with several physically impressive figures. Mike Tyson is one of those guests, as are professional boxer Cris Cyborg and WWE wrestler Xavier Woods.

We have absolutely no idea what will be displayed on this panel. But considering the size of Comic-Con and the level of prestige the guests hold, you can only imagine it’s going to be something big. Tekken 8 only released a new character trailer a few days ago, so it’s too early to reveal another new character… right?

Then again, Tekken is no stranger to adding real-world figures to the series. Jeffery Dean Morgan played the role of Neegan from The Walking Dead in Tekken 7, capable of pummeling the cast with his trusty baseball bat. Back with Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Snoop Dog played a major role in promoting the game, creating a Tekken song and appearing in the background on his own stage.

So maybe there is a chance? What is perhaps more likely is some form of promotion for the boxing star. We recently saw Lil Wayne star in the launch trailers for Street Fighter 6, so who knows, maybe Mr. Tyson will strip down for the King of Iron Fist Tournament.

If by chance Mike Tyson is a playable character in Tekken 8, I promise you here that he will not only be my main character, but I’ll be good enough with him to win a tournament. You can hold me to that.

What do you expect from this panel? let us know below!
