It only took a decade for Rockstar to let you just hold a button to sprint in GTA 5

GTA 5 could have been released almost a decade ago, but Rock star has finally added the option to hold a button to run.
Most games usually offer one of two ways to allow you to run in a game: you can hold down a particular button, or you can press it once and it will do it for you automatically. Some games even let you choose one or the other! For some reason though, GTA 5 decided to go with the third secret option, one that was always a bit annoying at best and downright bad for accessibility at worst: you push the button. Thankfully though, after a literal decade (which is crazy for a game to keep getting updates so long after it’s released), an update is coming that will finally let you hold the button.
as seen by The playerthe last Rockstar Games News The post shared some of the updates coming to GTA Online, with the usual business of more missions, more cars, that sort of thing. Notably, though, the post also shares that “an alternate sprint control (hold to run) option will be added to the settings menu.” Mashing has always been a goofy thing, so it’s a welcome change, though it would be nice if they could add the ability to just press the button once, so there’s a wide range of options available.
Of course, while GTA 5 continues to receive updates, the biggest thing on everyone’s mind is GTA 6. Last year there was a huge leak that showed a bunch of screenshots and footage, though that’s about all we’ve seen. really. to the extent that it has not yet been officially shown. It’s obviously only a matter of time though, as whenever it lands, it’s bound to be one of the biggest titles of that year.
