If you must gamble your Obols in Diablo 4, this is the best way of doing it

The Curio Vendor is a seldom-visited vendor in Diablo 4, mainly because a lot of what they sell won’t matter to most players for several hours into the game. The Vendor only accepts a single currency: Obols, which is awarded from chests that appear after the completion of the event.

Most of your first few visits to The Purveyor will be to purchase Whispering Keys, which unlock Silent Chests that you can find on your travels in the open world.

Later on, however, you won’t be well-equipped for certain challenges, especially if you land in a new region without upgrading your gear or getting level-appropriate drops. This is where the Obol game comes into play. Using that same coin, you can roll the dice and choose any piece of equipment or weapon that is offered and see what falls.

Most of the time, you’ll get junk, but occasionally I’ve gotten an odd legendary or two. This is exactly why the game Obol takes on a more crucial role the further you get into the game. If you’re deep into Diablo 4’s endgame, chances are you’re missing some Skins you’re still looking for, or honing some of the ones you already have. That’s when Obol gameplay becomes a source of drops, especially since you can target specific pieces of gear/weapons.
