Forget Gems, Diablo 4’s Aspects are in dire need of some basic quality of life options

As polished and well put together as Diablo 4 is, the game is missing a crucial number of legacy features. Some of these are so basic, like the lack of social systems and GRS, while others lean more into quality of life territory.
If you’ve spent enough time with Diablo 4, you’re probably aware of the game’s limited storage space, ambiguous ranking systems, but worst of all: how the game handles Aspects.
Skins are affixes that drop on legendary gear (not to be confused with dungeon skins). You can mine the ones you want and save them to use on a more powerful/better piece of gear. But just like the gear itself, Aspects also have different levels and can drop with different ranges of properties.
In other words, you may have multiple versions of the same Skin in your storage, and you must decide which one you need to destroy and which one to keep. To further complicate matters, certain skins can be attached to weapons, while others can only be equipped on gear.
But you wouldn’t know any of this just by looking at your storage, because you’ll need to carefully read the description of each one to see how many redundant Aspects you have and discard the lowest ones. This has been my biggest annoyance with the game so far, and I’m not alone.
reddit user lazy shared his frustration with the way the game handles Aspects. It’s particularly annoying once you get used to running the Nightmare content because, as they say, the process of running back to town to make sure you don’t forget to remove the Legendary Skin you have after each run is tedious and boring. .
“At first I thought it was cool, but honestly, for me it’s killing the game,” they explained. “Having to juggle and remember which Skins you have stored for when you get gear upgrades, and going through them one by one because they all look the same.”
“Getting a Legendary Skin and having to say ‘Sorry guys give me a minute’ while running through town after every Nightmare race because I have a Skin that I need to steal and keep in case I forget or lose it.” they added.
