Exoprimal celebrates one million players with free Skywave skin

later TwitterCapcom has confirmed that its latest effort, Exoprimal, has seen over a million players join its war games.

The cooperative action game that pits you against dinosaurs launched for PC, PS4, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on July 14, also marking day one on Xbox Game Pass. While Xbox Game Pass has certainly been the reason many gamers flocked to Exoprimal, hitting a million players in just over a week is still a pretty impressive feat.

Capcom also shared that it continues to work on improvements for Exoprimal based on player feedback, and thanked its players for their continued support. To celebrate and thank its players, Capcom will be handing out a free Skywave skin to those who play Exoprimal.

The good news for those who enjoy Exoprimal is that there is even more content to look forward to; On July 28, which is next Friday, a new PvE mode known as ‘Savage Gauntlet’ will be added to the game.

This new content is aimed at veteran players who have fast-forwarded to late game, and is “designed to test veteran 5-person Exofighter teams in special weekly rotating missions.”

In our Exoprimal review, we declared it “a blast from the past with an uncertain future.” We were really surprised by how much fun Exoprimal actually is, but given the oversaturated market for live service games at the moment, we weren’t so sure how Exoprimal would hold up in the long run, either. Only time will tell, but already having a million players is certainly a good start for this PvPvE team-based dinosaur shooter.
