Even PlayStation and Xbox are excited about Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Nintendo could be game station and Xbox rivals, but even they can’t help but express enthusiasm for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will obviously be the biggest game of the year (at least until star field comes out, but we won’t know more about that until June). It’s such a big game that gamers aren’t the only ones celebrating the release, as Nintendo’s two biggest rivals, PlayStation and Xbox, have shared their own reactions to the release of the latest Zelda game (thanks, GameSpot).
PlayStation kept things short by saying, “Have fun up there Hylians!” ending the tweet with a cloud emoji, an obvious reference to where Link will be spending his time. Xbox shared a slightly longer tweet, writing: “It’s good to be back in Hyrule. Congratulations [Nintendo] in Tears of the Kingdom!”

Congratulations @NintendoAmerica in Tears of the Kingdom!

PlayStation and Xbox weren’t the only ones talking about Nintendo. Devolver Digital said that it will be completely closed to play in a joke tweet (although I wouldn’t blame them, personally). And the Twitter account for Xbox-exclusive Sea of Thieves also said it wouldn’t mind if you play Tears of the Kingdom instead, writing, “We will not shed tears if you are too busy in another realm to navigate today.” The tweet was also paired with a fun Sea of Thieves screenshot recreating the Tears of the Kingdom box art – you can even see a boat with a uroboros-like symbol in the distance.
While everyone is obviously quite happy to finally see the game, there’s one big problem: you can’t pet the dog! Still, the game is very good, everyone says so, and it even managed to turn one of the worst intro tropes in gaming into something really good.
