Turning sleep into something fun, Pokemon Sleep uses your smartphone or Pokemon Go Plus+. Placing either device next to your pillow allows the app to track your sleep results by displaying the sleep styles of Pokémon that appeared on your screen.

The app classifies sleep into three types: snooze, snooze, and sleep. Pokémon whose sleep pattern matches your sleep type will gather around Snorlax. After you have studied the sleeping styles of the gathered Pokémon, you can give them Poke Biscuits that make them more friendly, and the Pokémon will be able to join you as helpers.

You will also be assigned a “sleep score” based on how long you slept. You get 100 points when you’ve slept at least 8.5 hours. The longer you sleep, the greater Snorlax’s sleepy power will be, determining how many Pokémon meet each time you wake up.

During the day, Helper Pokémon collect berries to give to Snorlax and can activate abilities to help you raise Snorlax. Helper Pokémon can collect berries even during times of the day when Pokémon Sleep is not being played.

This begins a new week of sleep research, and the Pokemon found will differ depending on which area you’re in. You can also register another player as a friend to share with them the duration and type of sleep, as well as information such as the number of sleep styles studied and the Pokémon in their support teams. You can also earn rewards for reviewing your friends’ sleep research.

Inside the Pokemon Go Plus+ device, there is a Pikachu wearing a nightcap that you can meet in Pokemon Sleep when the device is paired with Pokemon Sleep. Players typically form teams of five from the Pokémon found in Pokémon Sleep, but the nightcap-wearing Pikachu can become a sixth member of the team.
