Elden Ring mod gives players a chance to fight two of the most difficult Souls bosses

He garden of eyes mod team, who is working on the elden ring Overhaul mod, has added a new boss: Godskin Dragonslayer & Executioner.

In the making for over five months, the video below shows a reimagining of the Godskin Duo, fused with Ornstein and Smough.

Dark Souls players will recognize the duo of Ornstein and Smough, also known as Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough. Ornstein was one of the Four Knights of Gwyn who hunted dragons and Smough was an executioner. The duo were assigned to protect the Lordvessel from intruders and are the final bosses of the Anor Londo level. This boss battle is considered by many to be one of the most difficult encounters in the game.

In the Garden of Eyes mod, the fight has been revamped in the Elden Ring. The mod removed the Executioner’s ability to jump, so now only the Dragonslayer will, allowing for better control over the duo’s dynamics. Also, the blind spots that Smough used to have are back, and you’ll have to use them to manage attacks from both at the same time.

Because the Executioner can no longer jump, his frontal blind spots are now a means of avoiding one of the enemies. The Executioner’s Charge will now haunt you until you engage it, the Dragonslayer has an Elden Ring arsenal for the mod, and his Charge was fixed.

The Dragonslayer has fairly fast attacks, and the Executioner will now leave a trail of black flames when charging. And, just like with the original boss fight, when you kill one of the two first, the other absorbs the power from it, transitioning into an all-new boss fight with an all-new battle.

With the arena, there are only four pillars this time, and now they will completely break, leaving no obstacles for the two enemies.

The Garden of Eyes mod is currently in early access on Patreonalong with many of the other team overhaul mods, which will be released for free to all when complete.
