EA Sports FC 24 gameplay trailer shows women in Ultimate Team for the first time

A new gameplay trailer for EA Sports FC 24 has been released, showing off some highly anticipated footage of the soccer game that will replace FIFA 24 following the highly publicized licensing dispute between FIFA and long-time partner EA Sports.

For the first time, you will be able to collect female players in Ultimate Team and play on the same field as the male players.

This game mode comes on the heels of the recent reveal of the Ultimate Edition cover star, which despite some nice nods to stars past and present received a mixed response over some amusing resemblances.

However, on the pitch, thanks to direct agreements with FIFPro and numerous national competitions, more than 19,000 licensed players, 700 teams and 30 leagues will appear on EA Sports FC 24.

Major additions include a greatly expanded set of “Hypermotion V” animations, which are intended to render the fluid movement of a wide range of unique athletes with unique body types.

Specifically in Ultimate Team mode, you’ll also find new features that equate to new Icons (legendary players from the past that you can add to your current roster) and new Traits that help differentiate player skill sets called “PlayStyles” as well as mixed teams made up of professional male and female players.

At the end of the live stream, the release date for EA Sports FC 24 was announced as September 29, 2023.
