Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first free major content update, Scar’s Kingdom, is now live

To continue our fruitful article on exactly why Disney Dreamlight Valley is evil, which delves into why Scar has more in common with a Nazi than Goofy, Gameloft has announced Scar’s arrival in the game.

‘Scar’s Kingdom’ is Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first free major content update and also joins the game’s upcoming Star Path season, which is available to owners of the Founder’s Pack. The free update itself focuses on the Sunlit Plateau biome, where sunbirds and bromeliads abound, and will see Disney’s most notorious villain, The Lion King’s Scar, prowling the valley.

“Bringing Scar into the ongoing story of Dreamlight Valley and giving players the opportunity to embrace their ‘bad’ sides, while immersing themselves in this unique world filled with all-new twists, should be welcoming to even the most heroic of fans, and we can ‘Don’t wait for the players to come in,” says game director Nicholas Mainville.

Scar’s kingdom, if he’s really allowed to call it that, is in peril. The Pillar of Nourishment, the key to keeping the Sunlit Plateau as glorious as it is, has been affected by dark magic. As a result, it’s up to you to reluctantly join with the usurper to help him take back the Plateau.

As for the upcoming season of Star Path, Gameloft is getting players ready for Halloween. Items inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Hercules will be available. To unlock all of the latest cosmetics, players will need to befriend iconic villains in Disney Dreamlight Valley, clear their territories of Night Thorns, and more.
