Diablo 4 Season 1 release date incoming, alongside theme reveal, quality of life updates and more
[ad_1]
After the major patch for Diablo 4 last week, which was well received, everyone is looking forward to the game’s next big moment.
That, of course, will be the Season 1 release. So far, Blizzard said we can expect it to start in mid-to-late July, but we’ll get a solid date this week. Blizzard is hosting a huge Diablo livestream this Thursday (July 6) that will feature Diablo Immortal and Diablo 4.
The Diablo 4 segment appears later in the show and will officially introduce the Diablo 4 Season 1 theme, its release date, as well as all the major quality of life updates that will launch with it. Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora and Lead Game Producer Timothy Ismay will provide the background and then answer a few questions from fans.
Developer update live stream begins on 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST. As always, you can see it on the official Diablo page. contraction channel (embedded below), and in Youtube.
While Diablo 4 players are very excited to find out more about Season 1, the lead up to its release has been clouded a bit by the confirmation that everyone will need to create a new Season character to experience the new content, top level up the battle pass and largely take advantage of all it has to offer.
The current characters will still exist and you can continue to play as them, but you would miss out on all the new content, not to mention all the battle passes that are unlocked, if you already have it as part of Deluxe or Ultimate. Editions.
This Thursday’s livestream will also likely offer more details on the length of the first season, and whether or not Blizzard has made any concessions to players who aren’t excited about starting a new character each season. The good news is that battle pass cosmetics work for all classes, so that’s something.
