Diablo 4 player steps up to fix the game’s Aspect sorting problem

[ad_1]

By now, anyone who has finished the Diablo 4 campaign and spent significant time in the post-campaign/endgame will be well aware of the game’s inventory sorting issues. Even setting aside the size of the inventory itself, the real problem is that there’s no way to accurately (and quickly) see what you have.

This is perfectly demonstrated by the way the game categorizes Aspects, the add-ons that drop on equipment and can be extracted and stored to apply to different pieces. Each Aspect can not only drop with a range of values, but they have different levels depending on the item they first dropped.

Big world, lots of rewards, but no filter options!

But what makes finding what you have truly a nightmare is that you can never tell at a glance what the Aspect is. Since there is no search option, you cannot type what you want or filter for any particular one.

But there is hope, at least until Blizzard offers an in-game fix. For now, we can use the Reddit user GravelForceTool: D4 Aspect Tracker. The aptly named D4 Skin Tracker it’s a simple database that allows you to enter the Aspects you have, and then filter and search them.

Saves a copy of what you enter in your browser, so you can load the page at any time and update it with new findings. You can have multiples of the same Aspect and filter the available Aspects for each of the different classes, both inside and outside of the Codex.

Best of all, the ‘ownership limit’ feature means you’ll never wonder what you’ve unlocked or what you haven’t found. The search bar is also great, allowing you to type in the ability or boost you’re looking for and it will bring up the Skins that offer it, rather than having to remember the full name.

GravelForce posted the code for the site on GitHuband they are asking designers to help contribute to the look and feel of the site. It’s functional at the moment, but could definitely use some UI love from someone with an artist’s touch.
