Capcom says if the “opportunity comes, maybe” to a Resident Evil Code: Veronica X remake

With some of the biggest tickets in the demonic resident series receiving remakes, fans are looking for other titles like veronica code hopefully but Capcom says there are no plans for one yet.
Everyone is, unsurprisingly, excited about the Resident Evil 4 Remake arriving the next year, being one of the most popular entries in the series. We’ve also had remakes for the second and third games, and the original GameCube remake of the first game is still readily available, so fans want to know if there’s any chance of a Code Veronica remake. Unfortunately for those hopeful, Capcom says that right now the focus is on Resi 4 Remake.
Talking with noisy pixelResi 4 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi was asked if he would be interested in a new version of Code Veronica. But the producer said his focus is on developing Resi 4 Remake right now to make it the best possible experience for fans. Although there are no concrete plans for a new version of Code Veronica, he also said if “the opportunity comes, maybe”.
It’s not at all surprising that Resi 4 Remake is in the spotlight right now, considering it’s Capcom’s next big title, but it does leave some room for unnumbered titles to get their shot at the spotlight again.
Fans also have a lot to look forward to with the remake, as the game seems to be doing pretty well so far, with Leon’s knife getting a bit of a facelift and some new ways to pull off stealth kills. The game also stays true to its roots, as the briefcase storage doesn’t change, so you’ll still be able to meticulously lay out all of your various items to maximize your gear loadout, in classic Resi fashion.
