Don’t worry, Snow storm knows you want more storage space in Diablo 4 and is working on adding more to the game.

In a game like Diablo 4, storage management is an important aspect to balance. However, for many players it has been difficult as it is apparently not big enough. But during a recent developer livestream, game director Joe Piepiora was sure to point out that the team is “definitely listening to everyone” on the storage issue (thanks, PCGamesN). However, to be clear, while more storage is on the way, Piepiora said the team is “still figuring out how we’re going to get there.” As a reminder, game development isn’t as simple as having a button to add more storage.

“I’ll say very quickly, we definitely heard everyone on this,” Piepiora said on the live stream. “We’re talking a lot about what we should do with this. We have good plans for things we can do to improve the situation.”

“I know it’s frustrating to hear me say, but the reality is we’re moving very, very fast on this, and we’re trying to provide more space going forward, we’re figuring out how we’re going to accomplish that.”

It was also made clear that the priority is always “making it right rather than doing it right now,” with lead producer Tim Ismay adding, “Anytime Joe would like to make a change based on feedback he’s seen, the first version is always, ‘Can we do this immediately?’ Never, ‘Hey, let’s get this over with eventually, when it makes sense.

Earlier this week, Blizzard also confirmed that the game’s first season, called Season of the Malignant, will be coming to all platforms on July 20. The new season, and all seasons thereafter, will add new narrative content, including missions, and this first season will pick up where the main campaign left off.
