All the other Zulu will be in a straight line for the outpost, so by retreating and moving away, you are forcing the Zulu to have to go back again, buying more time. Away from the outpost, shoot at the Zulu horde now surrounding the outpost. It should be easy to connect the shots.

Sooner or later, the outpost will have been overrun, but you’re still alive. You will have to face the fight of the remaining Zulu army. Moving back during your reloads, shoot as many as you can. If they get too close, switch to your bayonet mode and start stabbing them. Either you will win, or you will die.
