The end hell panel showcase for Baldur’s Gate 3 took place yesterday, during which, Larian discussed all sorts of cool stuff, like a customizable serial killer protagonist, the importance of character identity, and the gender of a druid.
One of the most interesting takeaways was the reveal of Origin’s latest playable hero, dark impulse. This towering Dragonborn has been teased for the past three weeks via a trail of clues through the community-driven murder mystery, Blood on Baldur’s Gate.
The Dark Urge is a fully customizable character, which means his class, appearance, species, and gender are completely up to you. As Dark Urge, you begin Baldur’s Gate 3 with memory loss after an unfortunate encounter between a parasitic tadpole and your brain. Due to this terrifying encounter, all that remains is an insatiable drive in your subconscious that manifests itself in your dialogue choices.
This character has a particular way or method of dealing with others. His modus operandi, so to speak, is to brutally and indiscriminately murder through some of the most vivid acts of violence you’ll find in the game. That being said, you can play the character your way: do you try to resist your murderous urges? Or indulge in such depravity? The choice is yours.
Led by Sceleritas Fel, voiced by Brian Bowles (narrator in Divinity: Original Sin 2), Fel is a loyal but rather vile servant who only wants you, the Dark Urge, to stay on a path stained with blood and his poisonous words. of breath can feed your murderous impulses.
Despite being a brutal and homicidal demon with a very unpleasant modus operandi, you are still a member of a group of adventurers. This group of people, despite your urges, will go out of their way to be there for you, and regardless of your outspoken personality, you can still build relationships and romance.

Speaking of Romance, there are no complexes in love and lust in Baldur’s Gate 3. Have you fallen in love with the delicious druid with whom you have been slaying goblins? Are you longing for complete carnal knowledge on the subject of your desires? Don’t worry dear, because copulation could happen if your relationship with the desired person turns into a mutual physical desire. And if you’re into those kinks, he’s more than willing to take on the wild form of a grizzly bear during a love affair if it turns you on. Druids settle like this.
But it’s not just druids who can romance, as there are ample opportunities for romance with the characters you’ll get closer to, and no two relationships follow the same formula. There’s more romantic potential, there’s no shortage of relationships to explore, and plenty of allies to kiss or crush. So start courting early and you’ll get your ground corn soon enough.
Moving on, another nemesis was announced during the final broadcast.
Following earlier revelations of Lord Enver Gortash (Jason Isaacs) and General Ketheric Thorm (JK Simmons) as two of Baldur’s Gate 3’s central antagonists, the third and final adversary is Orin the Red. Voiced by maggie robertson (RE: Lady Dimitrescu from Village), the shape-shifting assassin has only one goal: to paint the city of Baldur’s Gate with blood. How and when you will meet Orin will depend on her.

What’s more, Larian’s team also revealed additional information character customization Options were added throughout the development of the game.
Because character identity is at the center of Baldur’s Gate 3, the character creator will let you customize everything from your protagonist’s appearance to their stats and background, and there’s plenty of room for expression.
This led the development to add even more diverse and personalized creation options, meaning you can now add freckles, vitiligo and scars to your skin. Several new tattoo designs have been added; your character may have heterochromia; you can choose from a variety of lipsticks; having all kinds of piercings; boast of many accessories; and Tieflings can now choose a horn color.
An age slider has been added and you can choose between a bigger or slimmer body type in all genders.
We get the feeling that we’ll be spending an inordinate amount of time with the character creator, which can be one of the best parts of any game.
You won’t have to wait much longer for Baldur’s Gate 3, at least on PC, because it’s coming out on August 3rd. PlayStation 5 players will have to wait a bit longer for September 6 to arrive, and unfortunately, it’s even longer. out for Xbox. Hopefully, the issues with the Xbox Series X/S version will soon be history.
