dont wait Assassin’s Creed Mirage have a huge and extensive map, since it will be more similar in size to games like Constantinople from Revelations.
The more that comes to light about Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the more it becomes clear just how much this game is going back to the roots of the series. One of the things that has changed a lot in gaming over the years is the size of the maps – if you’ve played them, you’ll know how much bigger newer games like Valhalla and Odyssey are compared to older titles. But based on Easy Allies, you can expect Mirage’s map to be much closer in size to Revelations’ Constantinople and Unity’s Paris.
“They specifically compared it to Constantinople in Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Paris in Assassin’s Creed Unity,” shared Easy Allies’ Michael Huber, who spoke to Ubisoft about the game. “They said it’s that big.” Both maps are a bit different in size, since this video covers compare the map sizes of all games; Constantinople is on the smaller side at 0.94 km2, and Paris is just over twice the size at 2.40 km2.
For context, Valhalla’s England is larger than both maps combined, at 94 km2, and Odyssey’s Greece is even larger than that at 130 km2. It’s safe to say that if you’re an Assassin’s Creed player who’s felt a bit fatigued by how big those games are, you’re in for a better time with Mirage.
Last week we also got our first full game showcase for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which gave us an eight minute look at what to expect from it, and yes, it does look like the early days of Assassin’s Creed, which doesn’t sound like it! like something bad!
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be out on October 12 and you can play it on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
