Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s gameplay showcase looks like a great return to form

In addition to a new story trailer, Assassin’s Creed Mirage I also got a nearly eight-minute long gameplay showcase, which really gave us a good look at the upcoming stealth game.

If you’re one of those gamers who really misses the old style of Assassin’s Creed games, then this latest Mirage gameplay trailer should get you excited. While eight minutes is only the blink of an eye in the overall scheme of things, it shows you exactly what you want: stealthy parkour, smoke bombs, and stealth kills with hidden blades.

One thing that stays the same from the more recent entries is the updated version of the eagle vision, giving you a bird that literally gives you a bird’s eye view, although it also has the classic “everything else turns gray and targets are displayed in pretty colors” eagle vision too. It looks like you’ll also have to seriously think about how you perform your kills, and things like poison darts and blending in with the crowd are back as well (even if it’s not always believable who you’re blending in with).

Ubisoft had a lot of Assassin’s Creed to show off during this presentation, as we also got our first look at Assassin’s Creed Nexus, and now you can sign up to play Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade as well.
