Ark: Survival Evolved’s next story update will feature everyone’s favourite doctor, David Tennant

the second part of Ark: Survival Evolved Genesis The expansion is due out soon, and with it comes the voice talents of Doctor Who himself, David Tennant.
New story content will also feature Madeleine Madden, best known for The Wheel of Time. Details are pretty scant on what this second part will actually entail, other than that there will be “new story scenes to introduce and wrap up each Ark map.” A short, slightly mind-boggling trailer was shown, certainly setting up at least some dramatic events.
The trailer also shows off… well, some sort of giant, human octopus creature, presumably as some kind of boss you can take on, so be prepared for some nightmares if you come across it.
Tennant and Madden are actually reprising their roles as Sir Edmund Rockwell and Helena Walker respectively, so if you’re a fan of those characters in particular, expect more from them.
ark 2 is also on the way, currently planned for a 2023 release, and yes, Vin Diesel is still on it. An actual game hasn’t been shown yet, so whether it makes it to that release date remains to be seen, but it’s currently planned to release on Xbox and PC.
An animated series was also announced in 2020, which will also feature Diesel, Tennant, and Madden, as well as other big names like Karl Urban, Gerard Butler, and Michelle Yeoh. At the time, the plan was for the series to feature 14 30-minute episodes, with two seasons already in production. It was meant to be released this year, but we’re running out of time, so there’s a good chance it’ll be out in 2023 as well.
The update will arrive sometime in December and will be available on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox.
