Want early access to Diablo 4? Your best bet might be a chocolate shop in London (yes, really)

Well, they say the road to hell is paved with blood candy… right?
Have you ever wondered what a “scary immersive 18+ goremet demon chocolate emporium” looks like? Well, I’d like to know more, because if you’re a London local with a couple of hours to spare, you might be about to find out.
To celebrate the release of Diablo 4, this quirky new cocoa-based facility is opening in central London and will be available for people to come and investigate on both Saturday June 3 (11am to 7pm) and Sunday June 4. June (noon to 5:00 p.m.).
Nicknamed “Lilith & Co.” As a nod to the game’s iconic evil big bad, the publicity stunt is being sold as “a deliciously wicked chocolatier” that fuses the dark magic of the game with the dark chocolate of sculptor and chocolatier Sarah Hardy.
A veteran of The Edible Museum, Hardy has created astonishing chocolate sculptures and placed them on displays throughout the emporium, including large-scale Diablo characters, weaponry, and iconography that you’d be forgiven for thinking was summoned through the earth. Diablo’s hometown, Sanctuary… albeit with some kind of chocolate transmorg effect.
Maybe you want to buy “life-size chocolate human skulls and femur bones”, or maybe you like something more profane and forbidden, something like chocolate Demon Hearts or runes.
Fittingly, prices start at £6.66. 100% of sales will go to SpecialEffect, a gaming charity that transforms the lives of people with physical challenges.
…But that is not all. “The emporium is just the beginning of the horror to come, as attendees will also have access to a secret room where the true evil of Diablo IV comes to life,” a press release teases. “As guests delve deeper into the bowels of the emporium, they will discover the dedicated gaming area in the store’s warehouse where attendees can play Diablo IV ahead of its official release, thrusting players into the world of the game.”
You must be over 18 to participate and must attend Lilith & Co. 15 Bateman Street, London, W1D 3AQ at the times listed above for a chance to get your hands on the game early. I’m planning on heading into the experience myself to let you all know what’s going on at this quirky launch event, and I’ll be sure to update you if I make it out alive.
Diablo 4 will be available for Windows PC, Xbox, and PlayStation starting June 6, 2023.
