Bin your crusty old Zelda t-shirt, Loewe has finally made gamer fashion cool

A new Loewe fashion show has showcased a range of pixel art clothing, which looks so much like the in-game aesthetic we’ve grown accustomed to over the years that, at first glance, it looks airbrushed. Nevertheless look 19 Y look 34 in the Loewe Spring Collection 2023 are very real and amazing.

The show itself had a wide selection of different styles, pushing the boundaries in a variety of areas of modern wear with clothes from the hands and mind of JW Anderson. The show was coupled with provocative questions about “the falsehood behind our screens,” according to a writes on the Vogue Runway website.

Regarding the pixelated tops and pants, Anderson offered an artistic description of her work, calling them “this weird illusion that suddenly breaks the pattern.” It’s true, the clothes seem to literally jump out of the frame, almost on another virtual layer over the background and fleshy features of the model. It’s by far a more awesome piece than those Minecraft creeper t-shirts for kids you see sold everywhere.

This is not the first time we have seen big fashion brands and fashion lovers explore the world of video games. back in 2019, Louis Vuitton partnered with League of Legends to create a limited digital fashion collectionplus Fortnite had its own couture collaboration with its BALENCIAGA in-game collection.

The reason why is almost certainly money, as you can imagine. Players are not only getting older all the time and making more money (hopefully), but they now have children who may want fancy, expensive, trendy clothes. As for the pixelated clothes shown in the Loewe Spring 2023 collection, it is not known if they will go on sale. However, if they do, they will be very expensive, so keep that in mind if you’re itching to get your hands on one.
