In previous Monster Prom games, dating one of the eligible bachelors/bachelorettes was the ultimate goal at the end of each race. Monster Roadtrip is more about having fun along the way and getting to a cool destination, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get some extra action in the process. Here’s how to get a date ending in monster road trip.

How to get a date ending on Monster Roadtrip

In Monster Roadtrip, date endings are like bonus endings that you can get in addition to your regular destination ending. You can get them from just about anyone who joins your travel team. Polly and Scott are always available, and you can also get a date with any of the hitchhikers you pick up at rest stops.

The important element in making an appointment is communication. To work towards a date ending with any character, you need to have conversations with them at rest stops. If you’re going for Scott or Polly, you can always talk to them at the picnic tables, while the hitchhikers can chat by selecting the bus stop. Most of the conversations will be risk-free dialogue exchanges where you’ll learn a bit more about them, but after you’ve had a few of these, you’ll get some serious deep conversation.

When Deep Talk comes up, you’ll actually have to choose instead of just sitting back and listening. You will get three options, and the correct one will be based on what the character previously told you about himself. The number of chances you have at this depends on the difficulty you’re playing on.

  • In Easy mode, you have endless opportunities in Deep Conversations
  • In Medium mode, you get an extra chance to Deep Talk if you mess up
  • On Hard mode, you only have one chance to get a successful Deep Talk

If you make the right call, you’re officially on track for an end date, but that’s not the end of it. To truly see the end, you still need to successfully complete the journey by raising one of your resources high enough to reach a destination. Also, if you did poorly enough during the ride to get a loser ending, that will void the date ending. Date endings, on the other hand, override MVP and average endings, so as long as it doesn’t completely screw up the entire run, it should be set. If all is well, you will see the date end CG right after the normal target end. Plus, setting date endings with certain hitchhikers can add extra layers to your destination endings!

While it’s no longer the main crux of the game, the potential for dates still exists in Monster Roadtrip if you will. And I’m willing to bet you want it.
