And what a 15 years that’s been – in that time, gaming has completely exploded, going from some kind of silly pastime for weans and saddos to a widespread phenomenon that (yeah, okay, sorry, I’m going to say the thing) it makes way more money (ugh, let’s get this over with) than any other form of entertainment (sigh, sorry).
With Valhalla set a few hundred years before the original game in the timeline, and next year’s Mirage spin-off styled as some sort of tribute to Altair’s groundbreaking adventure, it seems like the perfect time to revisit the old days. crossed as a reminder. how fully formed the series was when it arrived – it’s often said that the series didn’t get off the ground properly until Ezio showed up in the sequel two years later – but as I’ve argued in the video above, AC2 successfully built itself foundations that were established by the incredible creativity of the first game.
